A lockbox is a physical mailing address managed by Lemma where your practice can receive checks and other mail. Checks are automatically deposited into your linked bank account.

How it works

  1. Lemma assigns a unique mailing address to your account
  2. Instruct payers (insurance companies, patients, etc.) to mail checks to this address
  3. When mail arrives, it is scanned and logged in the Lockbox section of your dashboard
  4. Checks are deposited automatically into your linked bank account

Viewing lockbox mail

The Lockbox page shows all inbound mail items with:
  • Date received
  • Mail type — check or general mail
  • Status — whether the item has been processed
Select a mail item to view its scanned image and deposit details.
Check deposits from your lockbox appear as transactions in your transaction history once they settle.
