# Order checkbooks

> Order a checkbook for any Lemma account so you can write checks directly.

Order a checkbook for any Lemma account from
[this page](https://app.getlemma.com/_/order-checkbooks) on your dashboard. Each checkbook
includes 150 checks printed with the entity's name, so you can write checks the same way you would from any other
bank account.

You can also order from an account itself: open the account from the
[Accounts page](https://app.getlemma.com/_/accounts) and use **Order Checks** on the
**Account Services** card. That route opens a confirmation window with the account already
chosen, so you only need to enter a mailing address.

You need [owner banking permissions](/guides/team-management#banking-permissions) to
order a checkbook.

## Ordering a checkbook

    Select the Lemma bank account account the checkbook should be linked to. If
    you manage multiple entities, confirm you're on the right entity first. You
    can change entities from the dropdown in the sidebar.

  <Step title="Enter your mailing address">
    You can mail checks to any address in the USA.

  <Step title="Submit your order">
    Review the order carefully. Submitting charges the one-time printing fee to
    the account you're printing checks from, and you cannot change the mailing
    address afterwards.

The confirmation window names the printing fee and the account it will be
charged to before you commit. If that account doesn't have enough available
balance to cover the fee, the order is blocked until it does.

## Shipping

Checkbooks ship via USPS First Class and typically arrive within 7-12 business
days.
